Live edge tables preserve the natural contour of the tree along one or both sides. I’ve heard varying interpretations but for us, free edge and live edge are the same. Free form refers to the shape of a crosscut slab, quite often used for a coffee table.

Solid wood is a natural material and responds to changes in temperature and humidity. Minor movement, small surface checks, or subtle tonal shifts are normal and part of the character of authentic hardwood furniture.

Our slabs are properly kiln-dried and constructed to minimize stress. With stable indoor conditions and reasonable care, your table is designed to perform beautifully for generations.

We are asked about outdoor use. For pieces that will be used outdoors or in commercial applications, we finish with the appropriate finishes.

Our hardwood slabs are sourced from responsibly harvested or reclaimed materials. Many come from mature trees that have reached the end of their natural life cycle, resulting in dense, character-rich wood.

Each slab is individually selected for strength, balance, and visual movement before being crafted into a finished table.

Our wood product recquire little maintenance under normal use. Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth and avoid harsh chemical cleaners or excessive moisture. Solvents can break down the finish. Clean spills promptly and use coasters or placemats for everyday protection.

For commercial product and products that will be used outdoors, we use the proper finishes to make them last.
